Varroa Calculator

This is dependent on the region. As a guide use the number of months through the year when you find brood in your colonies:
6-7 months = short season
8-9 months = medium season
10-11 months = long season

This is a measure of the amount of drone brood in the colony.
A low level (around 2.5% of the worker brood level) may well result from regular culling of drone comb and yearly replacement of the poorer / older combs
A Medium level (around 5%) from occasional replacement (say once every 2 years)
A high level (around 10%) from rare replacement.
